Light at the end of the Tunnel

You have to love the humour that a soldier has at times, again this image goes to show the thoughts of a soldier during a period of conflict and uncertainty.

About robgrimesphotography

Experienced and enthusiastic, I have a real passion for photography that I have gained over the years and that shines through in my pictures and my portfolio. I specialise in capturing those spontaneous moments that we otherwise could lose, either at your wedding or on a relaxed family shoot of your choice. I am always happy to talk about photography, so if you think I might be the right person to take your photographs then give me a ring to discuss your pictures, they are yours after all. Also a full time serving soldier in the Infantry in the British Army, but soon to be leaving the forces after Project Afghan finishes.

All’s well. I’m still stateside, sitting in comfort at my desk in St. Paul, Minnesota. Exactly one month (to the minute) from now I’ll be boarding my first flight to Afghanistan.

Just reblogged your Feb 25 post…hope to draw the attention of my readers to your blog.

Stay safe, keep on sharing photos when time and technology permit.

        Regards,
        Luke

    lol very true!
I have only just stumbled onto your blog and have never really followed one before. Needless to say I am hooked. What a fantastic and moving way to show what you guys are going to undertake. It also has offered me a bit of comfort and filled me with pride for all you guys and girls do as I have just waved goodbye to my lovely husband for 6 months. I will really look forward to your posts.
I wish you all the very best of luck and keep safe.
